Our annual church group backpacking trip took us to Stuart lake this sunny July weekend. Once again, we lucked out getting a permit in the lottery at the Leavenworth ranger station at 7:45 am. Chris, Joan, Soren, Nathan, Margaret and I made the easy walk into picturesque Stuart lake, which sits just below the north slopes of Mt. Stuart. Normally, this annual July weekend hike is just a warm up to a week long backpacking trip, but due to some other trips planned for Margaret and I later in August, we won't be doing a church group week trip. Stay tuned for more adventures in the upcoming months.
